How does Crisp work with Custify?

Custify connects to your Crisp account through the Crisp Marketplace plugin model. Once you install the Custify plugin in Crisp and enter your Crisp Website ID in Custify, the integration syncs two types of data: contact profiles (People) and conversations.

People profiles from Crisp are matched to existing Custify contacts by email address. Conversations are linked to the matched contact, and then automatically associated with all companies that contact belongs to in Custify: giving your entire team visibility at both the person and account level.

From a connected Crisp workspace, Custify syncs:

  • Contact profiles: name, email, phone, job title, company name, location, and last activity date
  • Conversations: subject, status (pending, unresolved, or resolved), origin (chat, email), assigned operator, and timestamps
  • Conversation messages: full message content, sender, direction (inbound or outbound), and timestamp

Custify processes new and updated records automatically on a regular sync schedule. Real-time updates are supported via Crisp webhooks, so conversations and profile changes appear in Custify as they happen.

FAQ

How are Crisp contacts matched to Custify people?

Custify matches Crisp People profiles to Custify contacts by email address. If a match is found, the contact record is updated and conversations are linked to that person and their associated companies.

Are conversations linked to companies automatically?

Yes. When a conversation is matched to a Custify person, it is also associated with all companies that person belongs to in Custify. You can view conversation history at both the person and company level.

Does Custify write anything back to Crisp?

No. Custify only reads data from Crisp. No contacts, conversations, or messages are created or modified in your Crisp account.

What message types are synced?

Text messages from both visitors and operators are synced. Internal operator notes and system events (such as “conversation resolved”) are not imported as messages.

How Do I Activate This Integration?

  1. In Custify, go to Settings > Integrations and find Crisp in the list.

  2. Click to expand the configuration panel and follow the link to install the Custify plugin in the Crisp Marketplace.
  3. In Crisp, locate your Website ID (found in Settings > Website Settings > Setup & Integrations).
  4. Return to Custify, paste your Crisp Website ID, and click “Save settings.”
  5. Choose which entities to import (People, Conversations, or both) and configure your attribute mapping.
  6. Trigger the first import to sync your existing Crisp data into Custify.
